Join Us for the Second Race in the Kids-Only Trail Series: Where the Wild Ones Run!

Bring your kids out to experience the joy, challenge, and accomplishment of running through the woods in the second race of our exciting kids-only trail series, “Where the Wild Ones Run!”

We believe in fostering self-confidence and self-esteem in children through the rewarding experience of trail running. Running through nature’s wild terrain is not only fun but also beneficial for kids as they navigate the twists and turns, roots, and rocks of the trail.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, June 1st, 2024

Location: Al Lopez Park, Tampa, Florida


9:00 AM. 3-5-year-olds (0.6 miles)
9:15 AM. 6-9-year-olds (1.8 miles)
9:35 AM. 10-13-year-olds (3.2 miles)

Race Course:
The race course starts on a flat, hard-packed trail before transitioning onto a mountain bike path filled with fun, flowy sections and just the right amount of challenge.

Inclusions and Awards:
Finisher’s Medal: Every participant will receive an awesome wooden finisher medal.
Awards: The top 3 girls and boys in each age group will receive special awards.
Post-Race Refreshments: We encourage participants to bring reusable water bottles as we aim to eliminate single-use plastics.

Additionally, every racer will be timed, and race bibs will be provided. Kids who complete all three races in the series will receive a wooden medallion to add to their finisher’s medal.

Sponsor a Child: To help sponsor a child, contact [carrie@elevateeventcompany.com](mailto:carrie@elevateeventcompany.com) or choose the “sponsor a wild one” option when registering your child.

We are also raising funds to purchase new running shoes for kids in need. We believe every child should have access to proper running shoes to help shape and change their lives positively.

Additional Information:
Parents: Parents are welcome to run with their children but must sign a waiver. One parent per child, please.
Volunteers: We always need volunteers to help keep the kids on course. Please consider signing up to volunteer.
Course Marking: The courses will be marked with orange pin flags to ensure the kids stay on track.
