Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival

The 59th Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach is just around the corner! From May 3rd to May 5th, 2024, join us for a weekend filled with seafood delights, arts and crafts, and family fun. But before the festival officially begins, don’t forget to catch the Parade on May 2nd, 2024, starting at 6:00 pm, rain or shine.

Located at 102 Centre Street in downtown Fernandina Beach, Florida, this year’s festival promises something for everyone. The theme, “Peace, Love, and Shrimping: A Salute to Shrimping in the 60s,” sets the tone for a groovy time.

Prepare your taste buds for an abundance of fresh seafood and shrimp, along with offerings from over 300 artists and craftspeople. From stunning jewelry to captivating photography and exquisite pottery, there’s no shortage of treasures to discover.

While you indulge in culinary delights and peruse the artisanal offerings, let the kids loose in the Kid’s Zone, where they can enjoy activities designed just for them. Meanwhile, on two stages, live music will keep the festival vibe alive, accompanied by contests and entertaining pirates roaming the grounds.

One of the festival highlights is the decorated shrimp boat contest, followed by the solemn yet awe-inspiring blessing of the fleet and the laying of the wreath ceremony.

For those interested in vintage and antique finds, be sure to check out the vintage and antique sale at the event. It’s a perfect opportunity to uncover unique treasures and add to your collection.

To make the most of your experience, arrive early to secure a prime spot for the parade and allocate some time to explore the vintage and antique sale. For additional information about the festival, visit the Shrimp Festival website.
