Moon Over Croom Trail Run in Brooksville

Get ready for an exhilarating evening run at the Moon Over Croom trail run on June 8, 2024, starting at 5:30 pm at Croom Park, located at 26416 Croom Rd, Brooksville, FL 34601. This unique event promises a memorable experience with great food, custom t-shirts, and the thrill of racing through the dark. 

The Moon Over Croom trail run features three race distances: 21 miles, 14 miles, and 7 miles. With up to 300 runners participating, this race is sure to be a lively event. The main trail is a 7-mile loop, utilizing the B-C Loop and the C-Loop. The course will be well-lit with glow sticks, and participants are required to bring headlamps or flashlights to ensure they can navigate safely through the night.

Water stops and aid stations will be strategically placed approximately every 2 to 2.5 miles, providing runners with the necessary hydration and support. The event organizers have ensured the trails are clearly marked for both daytime and nighttime running, making it easy for participants to stay on course.

Race packet pickup is available on the day of the race from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, allowing runners ample time to prepare. The start times for the different race distances are staggered to accommodate all participants: the 21-mile race begins at 5:30 pm, the 14-mile race at 6:30 pm, and the 7-mile race at 7:30 pm.

The start and finish lines are located at the Tucker Hill Fire Tower, a prominent landmark within Croom Park. Participants and spectators alike will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and the opportunity to witness an unforgettable night-time trail run.
